“Antonioni and I didn’t have much exchange between us on THE PASSENGER. He sort of views actors as moving space. There are not always the most important in the scene. He has a pretty unorthodoxy approach. He likes the shooting of each scene to be a documentary on the scene itself; he tries not to know anything about it before it’s done. Working with Antonioni requires a lot of discipline, but I liked it. I’m working with the best directors in the world – it’s tough to go wrong.”
