Since 2005, Costa and Chafes have come together on occasions to present shows as an artistic duo. Their aesthetic experiments attempt to visualise the unseen and unknown such as energy, sound, shadows, and have been the subject of exhibitions at museums worldwide. “Distant Rooms” brings together Costa and Chafes for the first time in four years and showcases approximately 20 works. “The person, who invited me to exhibit in the different space, where is outside of a theater for the first time was Catherine David. She has works with some filmmakers, for example, Chantal Akerman and Abbas Kiarostami. After she saw my film called IN VANDA’S ROOM, she knew that I had a lot of shorts as a material. So she asked me that I would search some short among my materials for a exhibition.”
